Läppstiftet som släpps med MACs samarbete med Carine Roitfeld är neutralt, nude och i glaze-formula och heter Tropical mist. Det kommer i en specialdesignad matt svart hylsa med Carine Roitfelds signatur på.
Glaze-formulan är vanligtvis väldigt skir, på gränsen till en hybrid av läppstift och läppglans, och så är även fallet med Tropical mist. Det ger glans och ljusar upp mina ganska pigmenterade läppar en aning, men utöver det så syns det knappt på mina läppar och det är inte speciellt unikt.
Är du inte specifikt ute efter den fina special packaging-hylsan kan du lika gärna köpa ett färgat läppbalsam eller en läppstift/läppglanshybrid från t.ex. IsaDora som kostar hälften så mycket – för det kommer att ge exakt samma resultat på läpparna. Är du ute efter ett heltäckande nude-stift ska du definitivt vända dig till det permanenta MAC-sortimentet istället, där det finns gott om godbitar i den kategorin! Tropical mist finns exklusivt på MAC Åhléns city i Stockholm från och med den 8 oktober 2012 och kostar 205 kr.
In English: The lipstick that is released with the MAC collaboration with Carine Roitfeld is called Tropical mist and is a netural nude in the glaze formula. The glaze formula is very sheer, on the verge to a hybrid of a lipstick and a lipgloss, and so is also the case with Tropical mist. It adds shine and lightens my pigmented lips a bit, but other than that, it’s barely visible on my lips and the shade isn’t that unique. If you’re not specifically after the special packaging tube, you can might as well buy a tinted lip balm or a lipstick/lipgloss hybrid from a cheaper brand – because it will give you the exact same results. If you’re looking for an opaque nude lipstick, have a look at the permanent MAC range instead with contains lots of lovely nude gems!
